Hello and welcome! My name is Alison and I have spent a long time developing and making the items you will see on this website. I hope you agree that they are unique, fun, practical and above all great value for money.
My business began life as 'Dinky Duvets' as I started making small cotbed quilts that were impossible to find or too pricey on the High Street. These have been immensey successful and I have sold in excess of 200. As my range expanded it soon became obvious that Dinky Duvets no longer adequately described my business and so the name has been abbreviated to Dinky D's.
So what has changed on this website recently?
Due to popular demand I have added a new service called 'Alternations and Curtains'. For a long time I have been asked to alter items of clothing, whether to shorten trousers, take in a dress or patch up a sweater and now I can offer this service over the internet and via the post. In addition I can also alter or indeed create new curtains to suit any sized window or re-upholster chair cushions. You will need to contact me so we can discuss your requirements in more detail.
With the wedding season now in full swing you will find a new product, the satin ring pillow under the Seasonal Items section. This lovely keepsake can be embroidered with the name of the bride and groom as well as the all important date of the big day. With the current trend for strapless wedding gowns, having something to put over your shoulders for the ceremony or during the cooler evenings is agreat idea. See the gorgeous lace shrug that can be created to really set off the wedding outfit.
I am always adding new lines of hand bags to my current range and this season the practical but pretty oilcloth bags are proving a real hit for those who want to hit the beach without getting your favourite bag all sandy and dirty. I have also added some traditional looking rucksacks for children to use as school PE bags, kit bags or swimming bags.
I have added a new soft and fleecy baby toy called a Cuddle Clown which you can find in the Personalised Gifts section. These very cosy comforters can be embroidered on their backs with the baby's name to make them even more special. They are available in a range of colours and have proven to be very popular with babies and Mums alike as they are totally washable!

I know there are many, many worthy charities out there but I wanted to use this opportunity to tell you about a special charity close to my heart in memory of a very special little boy, Taylan who passed away aged 7. Taylan lived in the same community as us and went to the same school as my son. Last year his life was tragically taken from him due to an inoperable brain tumour. His parents have set up a charity to raise funds to enable research to be carried out to help prevent other families from being ripped apart likes theirs has been.
